Some nice press...

We were super excited that Saturday's Sydney Morning Herald newspaper published this little snippet on our work.

It was written by Alexia Biggs, with photography by Heidi Adnum.

Thanks lovely ladies!

The market preparation for the Sydney Finders Keepers has really been taking ALL our time - hence the very slow posting rate over here... We'd love to see you there, so please visit us on Friday night, 31 May or Saturday 1 June at the Australian Technology Park!

I must say though, Instagram is a really manageable way to keep an online presence in a visually interesting way. And we have been IGing our work in progress like nobody's business!

It seems the winter is bringing LOTS of exciting things for Goggles... will tell you more soon!

a whole lotta hooking going on...

Can't stop for long, other than to apologise for my incoherent ramblings and sporadic postings...

SO. MUCH. TO DO....

Finders Keepers... (Losers Weepers?)

With much excitement (and more than a few nerves), we are very proud to announce our inclusion in the next Sydney Finders Keepers Markets, to be held on the 31st May/1st June.

To say Justin and I are overwhelmed is an understatement!

We are both working day jobs, and heading into the school holidays, will have our small person here for two weeks.

How on earth will we have enough stock made...? It's times like this I kind of wish we outsourced... But really, it's not the Goggles way. Each piece we make, we actually physically make, so outsourcing is not really an option at this stage.

Maybe that could be part of the business plan... When we get around to writing one :/

new product photography...

An enormously HUGE thank you to Etsy Australia for helping our Goggles shop along, with some amazing professional photography by none other than author and all-round great photo lady Heidi Adnum!

The shoot was at The School's Small Studio - a really lovely space with outstanding light.

(Sorry for the photos Heidi, I know you don't like being filmed!! I've cropped you out enough I hope!)

Heidi's excellent shots can be seen on our newly updated Etsy shop, and to celebrate our new look, we've changed our prices to give you Free Shipping within Australia...

I can't help showing a couple of the shots here though, they're just SO DARN GREAT!!

Please note, the shots above are by me, but these three below are by the lovely Heidi.

Thanks Heidi, Jennie and Amanda for all your expert advice.

we're on the Temple and Webster blog today!

So it's live! The ever creative and wonderful Jacqui Fink of Little Dandelion has blogged for Temple and Webster about the beauty of hand-made.

Remember folks, make a comment on Temple and Webster's blog post before next Tuesday 12 March, and you'll be in the draw to win one of My Very Own Eye Goggles' lovely hand crocheted jute trivets. With your choice of trim - orange, pink, black, turquoise, lime or red!

Good luck!
